SONOMA VALLEY MUZZLELOADERS
31st ANNUAL RENDEZVOUS April 19th - 22nd, 2012 Welcome to Sonoma Valley muzzleloaders, a small group of Men and Women who recreate the joys and challenges from the era of the Mountain Men. We hold our monthly shoots on a private ranch near Yorktown, CA. We shoot rifles, trade guns and pistols(round balls, open iron sites), throw hawk and knife, and start fire with flint and steel. We hold our Rendezvous at the ranch every spring and usually have 90 - 120 shooters. All are welcome, spectators, participators and traders. The ranch is Marie Hill Ranch, 43700 Highway 128, Cloverdale, CA. 95425. Also known as "The Sheep Ranch". From HWY 101 at Cloverdale, take the HWY 128 West/ Boonville exit. Follow HWY 128 for approximately 11.3 miles. The site will be on the right side of the road. This is a working sheep ranch. NO DOGS ALLOWED! This site is very pretty. It sits on the floor of a small valley that spans a seasonal stream. Weather in April can be wet, be warned. There is no guarantee of potable water on site, so please make sure you bring water for drinking and washing. Site Rules: * No ground fires… Only contained, attended, and above-ground fires. Participants MUST BRING their own fire wood. * We are restricted to the areas we have rented… Do not go into the hills or woods surrounding the site. This is where the owner has put the sheep for the duration of the event. * Absolutely no Dogs are allowed on site… Camping fee $25.00, shooting fees $20.00 |
